The course aims to continue providing a different way to enhance your Spanish while learning about the work and experiences of Spanish and Latin American Black authors and female thinkers, writers and artists.

The course will provide a space to discuss the works of the following authors:

Ruben H. Bermúdez

Concha Méndez

María Dolores Arana

Lucía Carnés

Silvia Mistral

Quince Duncan

Moreover, apart from exploring issues of social identity, it will make connections with current affairs providing an opportunity to reflect on historical memory, immigration, etc. through news and other resources.

It will also provide a space to share readings as in a Spanish tertulia literaria.

Dates: 10 lesson-course delivered weekly online, 1 hour and a half lesson time, from Monday 27th September – 7 to 8.30 pm

Cost: £195, 10 weeks, 1 hour 30 minutes every week.
